The Kosbacher Altar is an rectangular stone setting from the Latène-century (5th-1st century BC), next to grave to the so-called grave mound 9, one of 13 grave hills in Mönau Forest.
The corners of almost 2 × 2 meters long “altar” were marked by four stones (now only 3). In the middle was a 63-cm-high stone pillar, this interpreted as a phallic stone, now it is located in the University collection of Erlangen.
